Newly appointed Nations FC coach Zdravko Logarui believes Ghana remains a ‘sleeping giant’ in football and is determined to help awaken its potential through an ambitious project at the club.The Croatian coach, in his first official interview since taking charge, outlined his plans to guide Nations FC back to the Ghana Premier League and eventually establish the club as a force on the African stage.Logarui described Nations FC as a rare private football project in Africa, insisting the club has the opportunity to create history.”It’s not easy in Africa to have a private club that doesn’t operate like a social society. It’s a pioneer project, especially in football, and not many clubs have done it. Let’s be part of history,” he said.”First, we have to make proper observations to see what kind of ingredients we have to make the cake. Then we’ll decide what kind of cake we’re going to make,” he added.He also challenged his players to embrace professionalism and see football as a career.”If they must put food on the table for their families, then they have to act professionally. Our job as coaches is to judge fairly, help them improve and produce results,” he stressed.Logarui wants Nations FC to compete with commitment while respecting stronger opponents, but insists promotion remains the immediate target.”Ghana is a sleeping giant. We just have to find a way to wake it up. Let’s work together, support each other and build something special,” he stated.
